Lakewood has very liberal geocaching regulations -- there are none, and we're
just requested to follow the Geocaching.com guidelines on cache
placement (no digging, etc). Geocachers are asked to be particularly
careful of environmental impacts in open space parks (like Bear Creek
Lake Park and Green Mountain).
So long as everybody follows these rules, we should hopefully be able to avoid the imposition of other regulations in the future.
