I've been busy tonight (thanks to an idea from MrCOgeo) and have added another link to the left-hand menu of the main page.  It's called 'Colorado Caches.'  Click around a bit and let me know what you think!

As with the US map, the images aren't the greates yet, but they'll do for now.

For the pictures it would be nice if you could select the event and watch the slide show for that event not have to watch all of them before you get to the event you wount to look at

hmm, interesting idea.  We'll see if that's possible.  Maybe we can add that to the Event Calendar too.  ooooooooh...........

 

On a second note, I've changed around a few of the more recent changes that have been made:

1.  The 'Colorado Caches' link on the left hand menu has been removed.
      - it's now nested in the Caches by State section.

2.  In the 'Caches by State' section, when you click on Colorado, you'll be brought to a map of the state.  You can click on specific cities and see local caches, or click on any un-specified area on the map to see all caches in Colorado.

OK, phew.  Done.

There's a ton of changes to the site, from added links to new images.  Also another big change, but hopefully many won't notice.

For those who are interested, we noticed from the Denver Post article that Fathergoose posted that they linked to our Land Management page.  The only problem was, the way the page was built, they only saw the land management page, and didn't see the left-hand menu.  Well, now that's fixed.

I need your help.  My mind is hurting and there may be a few things that don't work like they used to, or don't work at all.  If you run across something goofy, please post here and let me know.  I'll do my best to get 'er done!

Next enhancement: Recommended caches by County! (ooooooh!)

New Photo Gallery

A big 'Thank you' to WitzAbout for creating the code behind the photo gallery, and putting in all the legwork finding all those images! Nicely done!

We've found many events, but there's no really easy way (that we know of) to view archived events.  There may be events that we missed.  If you know of any missing events, please post here or e-mail WitzAbout or Team Laxson with the GCxxxx number. 

We'll change the event page over to the new version in December sometime.  Until then, you can view it here (the old version is still up).

The suggestion box has been empty for a while.  As the membership base grows, I'm sure there are enhancements we can work on for the site. 

Please post here your thoughts on how to make the GCCO website better, more useful.  From e-mail I've received, we'll be working on paperless tutorials/guides.

Technically, all the code from the original CACHE page is mine, as I wrote it. Permission was given to use it in the old page, but not ownership. If'n you feel like it, you can go there and copy the code from the links page, edit it to match this site and run with it.
