Multiple Events in Craig, Co on September 27th 2008
GCCO has been working with the BLM and Moffat County to promote Geocaching in the NW part of the state. As a result, we're proud to offer 2 events coming up on September 27th, 2008:GPS Education & Tutorial - BLMLSFO
This event will be GPS/Mapping tutorial. We'll cover basic GPS functions, how to read maps and navigate. Garmin, Magellan, UTM, Projecting waypoints, and other GPS functions will be covered.Little Snake River CITO
This event will follow the tutorial, and start around 10:30am. We'll be working on BLM land near Craig cleaning up a dump site and grading an information kiosk pull-off.
For those interested in traveling out to Craig, we've received an allotment of discounted rooms ($35 per room per night!) from a local Hotel. They've set aside 5 rooms for us on Friday and Saturday nights. If you're planning on staying in Craig, please contact Team Laxson to reserve your room.
We have the rooms held until September 13th. Any rooms not reserved will be released and we can't guarantee they'll have space.
